Bow Stave, (Premium) Hickory

New stock. Superior Pignut, Mockernut and Shagbark  hickory staves for traditional bow building.   Each tree was hand selected and sustainably harvested from the bow builder's private forest land. Tree diameters range between 14"- 20", allowing you to begin with a flatter surface area ensuring a durable bow. I personally identify a tree with minimum twists and knots to produce a quality bow. Each stave was hand split to ensure the grain was followed and not compromised.

Stave length is between 64-74" and 2-4" in width. Staves were cut in spring of 2022, the bark was removed and each was treated for insects with an environmentally friendly process.

The staves are READY for bow building. No need to chase a growth ring, the back is ready to layout with your personal bow pattern. I have successfully built static recurves, flat bows, longbows and take-down longbows from the stock being advertised.

RETURN POLICY: Purchaser must email seller within 48 hours of receiving merchandise and state reason for return. Return shipping cost will be the purchasers responsibility and no reimbursements for prior shipping cost shall occur.  All returned merchandise must be received in its original condition; unaltered and undamaged.
